Vintage Zeiss WL Trinocular Phase Microscope in Superb Condition

This early black enamel Zeiss WL microscope is a'classic' instrument which I very much love - but rarely use; it deserves a new home! It is fitted with the turret phase condenser, x16, x25, x40, x 63 and x100 Neofluar Phase objectives, Zeiss KPL x8 eyepieces, Zeiss phase telescope, original transformer and working bulb.

All is in excellent condition with superb undamaged enamel; one of the best! The objectives are good with no signs of delamination.

All I would point out is that the elderly transformer needs some care in operation - turn it on at the lowest voltage setting, let it settle for a few seconds and turn up the rheostat slowly for the required level of illumination. Do it too fast, and the bulb will flicker; do it slowly and it's fine! The transformer is for 240V and has a UK 3-pin plug but obviously the microscope is good for use at US 110V with a different transformer.
