Vintage 1940s O. E. M. Meter Mask Oxygen Therapy Medical Respiratory Equipment

Meter Mask oxygen therapy apparatus manufactured by Oxygen Equipment Mfg. Vintage pre-owned condition with significant age-related wear and deterioration. The rubber shows surface aging, discoloration, cracking/deterioration and residue. There is visible deterioration/loss around the front fitting of the brown face mask. The reservoir bag has considerable surface wear, staining and aging.

Metal components show tarnish, oxidation and surface wear. An unusual piece of early respiratory and medical history, this molded rubber oxygen mask retains its attached metal valve/fitting assembly, large rubber reservoir bag and brown fabric head straps. The mask is clearly molded with.

This example is believed to date to approximately the 1940s-1950s.
