The unit has a copper cold head and there is a V-band interface for clamping on the dewar system. There is a copper heat dissipating ring that should have air forced through it to remove the heat taken from the cold head and the power required to drive the piston. This is only a 2-terminal device, the easiest drive system for these is to use a transformer and Variac (maximum input power is about 100 watts but can certainly be less).
